A More Accurate RWBY Font

March 14, 2022 Update - Version 2.0

All of the 11 missing letters were apparently shown a while back in RT's CRWBY: Behind the Episode series. With that, I've been able to complete the set. I've also fixed some spacing problems with the previous version and updated the letters B, R, W, Y to match the official ones even better.

The letters that changed the most with this update are K, M, Q, S, and U. The rest of the 11 previously missing ones were already pretty close to the official font, so the difference is not as apparent, but they have been updated as well.

The J has also been updated to match the official one better. Since the only source I had to work with before was a screenshot from V4C1, I had to distort it slightly to counter the 3D projection, but it wasn't perfect, it should be a bit better now that I got it from a 2D sample.

I've also been informed that it's not just small caps, there are lower case letters as well, but we're missing 9 of those letters as far as I know. I might make a non-small caps version of the font at some point, but probably not until we've seen more of it.

About

Ever since Volume 8's opening was revealed, I've been waiting for someone to try making a more accurate font based on the RWBY logo. This is because the OP had a few words in it and it used the same font as the logo. The words were "Happy Ever After" and "Happy? Never Again". In addition to that, in Volume 4 Ren and Nora also gave us the J when they were arguing about the team name. It's a small caps font, so the lowercase letters have the same shape as the uppercase ones, they're just smaller. So with the logo, V4, and the V8 OP, we have most of the characters in the English alphabet, only missing 11: C, D, K, L, M, O, Q, S, U, X, and Z.

The reason I wanted a more accurate one is that the only one I know of from before is one called RWBY_Style, and it looks like this:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

It was made a long time ago, so I don't blame them for getting some of them wrong, and it might not have been their intention to get it very close to the real font anyway, but I do think some of the characters should probably have been done differently. The J, for example, looks way too much like a T. This alone has started a meme about "Teff", what Jeff Williams' (the man behind the great music in the show) name looks like when written using this font, because Jeff's name is often shown in YouTube thumbnails and videos for the soundtrack with the RWBY_Style font.

I have never tried making a font before, so I figured it was best to just wait for someone else to do it. It's now almost a year since V8 ended and, as far as I know, no one has made a new one, so I've run out of patience and decided to do it myself anyway.
